Record where a piece is
Put the carton on the shelf first, then write down where you put it. This records what you can see. It is not an instruction to anybody and it says nothing about whether a lift is safe.
The carton in your hands
Recording a location here says where the piece is and nothing else. It is not a check that the carton was safe to lift or that the rack can hold it, and SavaFlow will still write down where something is when nobody has looked at either. Any weight on the manifest is what the shipper declared, never a verified safe load.
